Terms of Use
Rules for using Meritus as a student, organizer, or staff member at City University Malaysia.

1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing Meritus (the Platform), you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies enforced by the Office of Student Affairs (STAAD) at City University Malaysia.
2. Eligibility & account security
Access to student and organizer portals is limited to currently enrolled students, registered student clubs, faculty members, and authorized administrative staff of City University Malaysia.
You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and reporting unauthorized access promptly to STAAD.
3. Co-curricular code of conduct
Students must participate in events in good faith. The following is strictly prohibited and may be treated as academic misconduct:
- Falsifying QR check-in or check-out records
- Registering for events with no intention to attend
- Sharing personal student QR codes so others can claim attendance
- Misrepresenting organizer roles or merit eligibility
4. Organizer commitments
Event organizers must propose authentic co-curricular activities, manage registration limits fairly, record accurate attendance, and submit merit allocations that follow SPMS policy.
All events require STAAD approval before public registration opens on Meritus.
5. E-certificates & intellectual property
Digital certificates issued through Meritus are official credentials of City University Malaysia. Unauthorized duplication, modification, or sale of credentials is prohibited.
The Meritus platform, design system, and software are developed by Nelvyx and licensed to City University Malaysia.
6. Policy updates
STAAD may update these terms to reflect changes in co-curricular policy or platform features. Continued use of Meritus after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
